For the Indecisive

Decisions. Their effects can completely change our lives. I mean, it could be as simple as what we eat today or what we are going to wear. I’ve forever struggled with making decisions. I’ve found this is mainly because I’ve allowed others to choose for me. Not that I’m not capable of making my own choices, but when I found myself on the edge of change I've always screamed out for help. Not realizing I am more than capable of deciding. We allow others to make decisions for us and we never exercise the ability to do it for ourselves. For example, we go shopping and find two different shirts that we absolutely love. You come with the intention of only buying one shirt, but since you cant decide you choose both.. or if your friend is there you make them decide. It sounds dramatic and silly, but we are enabled in a sense. We then do the same things for bigger decisions. Such as.. what school we go to, or whether we date someone or not. Our indecisiveness is then mirrored in our everyday choices. Heres what the word says:

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:8

The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Psalm 37:23

As young women, we become soley dependent upon others when in actuality we have the power to make decisions. Lets make bold decisions with the help of God! He is our compass and the BEST counselor. I’m not saying that listening to the counsel of others is bad, but at times we rely more on the words of others than the word of God. Focus on becoming a person who is perfectly capable of making decisions so when you are found in a tough spot you can face it with a heart full of courage. Walk confidently knowing the Lord is for you and ever present. Walk fearlessly full of faith!

You are stable and full of boldness!
