In the Waiting

Waiting. Have you ever been in the waiting game for something new to bloom? What’s your initial response to the phrase “You have to wait” or even “its not the right time”. To be completely honest, before I truly understood what my duty was in the waiting my first response was “why?” or really just a posture of complacency. I was just living for the moment I’d been waiting for forgetting every second leads up to the grand finale and even then you aren’t truly at the highest peak of your purpose. The waiting is preparation. Not taking action is still an action. Not communciating is still communicating something! Prepare yourself physically, mentally and emotionally for that which lies ahead. Check out what the word says...

Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.

2 Timothy 4:2

 Single? There’s much work to be done before you’re in the relationship. Be the mirror you’d wish to see in your significant other. Sharpen your vision and your character. Want a Godly man? Be a Godly woman first! Waiting on a promotion at your job? Check your character and the quality of your fruits! Be the best you can be before you even get the position you wish for. Praise HIM as if you have all these things and continue to praise even if you never see the things you prayed for come to pass. Let your heart be in a constant state of gratitude.
